Sleding and Snowfort

On Wednesday the snow was perfect for play. We first went sledding at a hill near our house. Camden loves sledding and this year he was brave enough to go down the hill all by himself. He was so cute and did such a good job hauling his sled up the hill all on his own. This was Gavins first time sledding and he also loved it! He went down a few times with Ty and when we would take him off the sled all he did was cry. He had fun playing in the snow while Cam went sledding though. Both of them took a face plant in the snow at least once and they still kept going!
After we got home Gav was exhausted but Cam wanted to keep playing. Since he and his dad had already plowed ours and 7 other neighbors driveways (Cam is obsessed with the snow plow on the four wheeler and wanted Ty to keep going!) they decided to build a snow cave. I didn't think it was possible, but never doubt an eagle scout. After an hour or 2 they had a huge snow fort built right in my front yard. Cam loves it and Ty assures me it is safe because he took a blow torch to the inside (which to me doesn't sound safer but apparently it makes it have a hard shell!).
We had an awesome day! Now that I have kids to watch enjoy the snow I guess it's not that bad... or at least it's bearable!

Cam after his face plant. I asked him if he wanted
to go home and through the tears he replied "no,
I wanna go again!"

Lovin' the snow!

Cam at the bottom... apparently he doesn't
want to be bugged by mom!

Headed up the hill... so cute!

Christmas 09

We had so much fun on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was a bit different for us this year because Tyson had to work Christmas day so we had to put in a special request to Santa so that he would come a day early!
Christmas Eve day we opened all of our gifts, including the ones Santa brought early, and then we went to breakfast. It was so much fun watching Camden finally understand what was going on this year and then trying to explain it to his brother. That evening we went to both the McQuistons and the Fullbrights and had to yummy dinners and spent time with family. It was a great day!
On Christmas day Ty went and we went to my parents for a yummy breakfast and more presents. We hung out there all day and kept it as low key as possible.
We all got so spoiled this year and we want to thank everyone for making this Christmas so fantastic!

Cam coming out to check out what Santa brought!

Before he opened any of his gifts he had to go see
if Santa ate his cookies and drank his "daddy juice"
and if the reindeer's ate their carrots, and they did!

The boys opening gifts

Gav on his couch. He didn't know what to do
with himself. Cam was so excited to see what
Gav got so he opened most of his gifts for him!
I don't think he minded though, he just wanted
to see what was inside and Cam was much faster!

Gav at my parents house. He got a cute little bike
and many more fun toys!

Watching brother on his cool new toy. Don't worry
about him though, the only reason he didn't get a
four wheelers for Christmas is because G & G already
gave him one for his birthday!

He finally came in when he couldn't feel his fingers!

My boys at the end of a long day! So much fun!

Christmas Preschool Program

Camden had his very first preschool program and he did such a good job! They sang the ABC's, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, If Your Happy and You Know It, Santa Clause is Coming to Town, and the days of the week. I must say I was pretty impressed by how well they did! It was fun to see what he has learned and how much fun he has doing it!

"If your happy and you know it stomp your feet!"

All smiles!

On Monday we had the grand idea of going up to Temple Square to see the lights. I love going and we hadn't been in 2 years so I was way excited to go. We also decided to take Trax because Cam loves it. Well apparently everyone else had the same ideas as us. We had to stand both ways on Trax which was a pain to us, but the boys still loved it so I guess it was worth it. Temple Square was also crazy busy too, but we kind of expected that.
All in all the lights were beautiful and I am pretty sure the boys had a great time so it was definitely worth it!

I still can't get the pics to flip! Ugh! Anyways,
heres our boys!

And the fam!

Cam throwing pennies into the water with Sloan.
We ran into the Davies and Ballous while we were
there. It was so great to see them!

Waiting for Trax! Burrr! If we only knew what
we were in for!

Gingerbread House!

So, for some reason I can't get this pic to rotate on my blog... oh well! Anyways, for playgroup we did a gingerbread house party. Randi made cute graham cracker houses and we all brought candy to decorate them. They turned out so cute and Camden had a blast!

Zoo Lights!

One of the fun things we did this Christmas season was going up to Zoo Lights with some friends. I seemed like a great idea except for the fact that it was 21 degrees outside. Cam loved
getting all dressed up in his snow clothes and running around and Gav was a good sport as
always! We had lots of fun seeing the lights and the animals!

Family Pic... Cam refused to smile!

This is how Gav rode in the stroller...silly boy!

My cute boys! Gav looks tired but he really wasn't!

Always has to ride the carousel!

My chubby little trooper! Cute little marshmallow!

Visit with Santa!

We took the boys to see Santa 4 times this December. Camden loved seeing him and wanted to do it every chance he got. Gavin on the other hand really disliked him, but the more we took him the more he warmed up to the idea. Here are a few pics of our first trip to see Santa!

Cam telling Santa he wants Star Wars the Clone Wars
(when he says it it sounds completely different!)
Gav cried his eyes out and only lasted 30 seconds
his cute big bro held his hand the whole time!

Cookie Cutters!

Gavin got his hair cut for like the 10th
time the other day but it was the first time
I have taken him to Cookie Cutters. He
thought everything was great except when
they cut the top! He has such a cute doo now!

Thanksgiving Turkey!

This is the cute turkey Camden brought home
from preschool... so cute!
