Fair Fun?!

Our friends gave us free tickets to the Utah State Fair so we decided to take the boys for some fun. Tyson and I hadn't been since we were in elementary school so I was excited to check it out, Tyson on the other hand was not excited at all. I use to love it when I was little. Rides, treats, animals... whats not to love? Well, lets just say we probably won't be back for a very long time!
First of all it is super expensive! We spent $50 and we didn't have to pay for tickets and we didn't eat ( I was scared that we would get food poisoning!) Second, it was so busy! We could barely walk around without running into someone every 3 steps. And last, the rides really weren't that great.
All in all the boys had fun and I guess thats all that matters, right?! I am sure we will be back someday... just not in the near future!!!

Since it was Camdens birthday weekend extravaganza

Fall Soccer

Camden has been playing outdoor soccer this fall for the first time and he loves it! He has a really awesome team and a great coach which makes it even better. I am not sure what to what to pinpoint there success on, but man these kids are good! They have yet to be beat and hardly ever get scored on. I am pretty sure Camden has scored at least 3 goals at each game with his high being 7! We are so proud of him! He has finally figured out what being aggressive in sports means which I think is a hard thing to understand. I for one hope that he continues to really like soccer, because I love watching him!

August Camping!

We had a blast Camping...as usual! I thinks this was our best trip for many reasons, the main 2 being no rain and no crashes ( unless you count me falling a few feet down a waterfall!) We went with the Tho family and my parents and brother. Manti Canyon was beautiful and didn't disappoint. This was our last trip for the year, so I am glad it was a good one!

We really enjoyed the Herriman lake this summer. Both of our boys are fish and they loved swimming every chance they got! They also enjoyed playing in the sand for hours on end. They especially loved spending time with their cousins who joined us quite a few times on our adventures! Can't wait to enjoy it next year!

(On a side note... I think we may have gotten hand,foot,and mouth from the lake...just sayin'!)

A while back we decided to take a short trip up to Tysons Grandparents cabin for the weekend. I still can't believe that it had been over 4 years since we had been there. Before we had Camden we went there quite often... I guess that what kids will to to ya! Tysons Grandparents were there which made the trip even more fun! Camden was obsessed with Grandpa and followed him around EVERYWHERE! It was so cute and you could tell that Grandpa was loving every minute of it! Hopefully this is the first of many more trips to the cabin!

Muttin' Bustin'

Camden was able to do the Muttin' Bustin' at the Mascaro Memorial Rodeo a few weeks ago and

he had so much fun! He didn't really know what to expect and he fell off really quick, but he had fun and got right up... thats all that matters right?! Thats what I though, but not Cam. He was so mad that he didn't stay on longer and win a trophy. He even asked if he could go again cause he wasn't ready the first time! He is so funny!
He had a bunch of friends and family come out to watch him which he thought was so cool! Thanks to all of you that came out to cheer he on! You all made his day for sure!

July Camping Trip!

Our July camping trip up Mayfield Canyon was so much fun! We got rained on quite a bit, but

a rainy day camping beats a rainy day at home anytime!

Gav our last day of camping... not sure what he's

doing, but man this kid looks like a mess!

Trying to rehabilitate their frogs. The kids caught

a bunch of frogs in the grass behind our trainer

and put them in bug catchers. When we came back

from our ride on the last day the frogs were looking

pretty grim to say the least. Most of them died, but

Tayler was convinced she could bring them back to

life by swooshing them around in the water. Hopefully

it worked!!!

Snow in July... seriously?! This was

up on Skyline Drive so we were pretty

high, but still!!!

Gav got to ride the 50cc four wheeler for the

first time by himself and he LOVED it! Scared

me to death though!

And Cam learned how to ride the 50cc dirt
bike all by himself! So cool to watch! He was

a pro from the start! He doesn't know how to change

gears yet, which is just fine by me! Higher gear=

faster bike! He kept giving me the peace sign
everytime he drove by me! So cute!

4th of July Parade!

First Camping Trip!

Utah weather has seriously been crazy. Usually we have gone camping 2 times before Fathers

Day, but not this year. And usually I wouldn't be caught dead at Cherry Creek in the middle of
June since it's usually so hot there at this time of year, but it was the only place that we could go
that didn't have snow! Oh well!

Anyways, when I asked Tyson what he wanted for Fathers Day all he said was that he wanted to
go camping, so thats exactly what we did! The Tho family joined us and we had lots of fun,

especially the kiddos! We got in a rainy ride, a sandy ride, some water fun complete with leeches, and tons of sand play! This place is perfect when it is cold everywhere else close by and
the kids absolutely loved it!

Herriman Days Parade!

My parents came out to our house and went to the Herriman Days Parade with the boys and I.
I love this parade because it still has that small hometown feel. I sure it won't be like this for to
much longer so I guess I better enjoy it while it lasts!

For Christmas my parents surprised us with a trip to Disney World! We were so excited! It was seriously rough waiting 6 months to go, especially for me and my Dad! We split our 6 days between Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Universal Studios and they didn't disappoint! (we did find out that Epcot is not for kids though) We had so much fun and made so many family memories that I will always cherish! Thank you Mom and Dad for the awesome vacation! We love you and can't wait to do it again someday!
Instead of trying to describe each day and bore you all to death I will let the pictures do the talking! It is a serious overload and I still have my moms pics to post! ENJOY!

Camden (after prompted by my dad) went and
asked the pilot if he could see the "drivers part"
of the plane. The pilots were so awesome and not

only let him see it, but they let him push buttons,

gave him gum, and let him ask many questions!

My favorite was "where are your parachutes?"

The pilot laughed and said "if you ever board a

plane and see parichutes on board quickly get off

the plane and wait for another flight!"

This little boy is one sweaty sleeper!

After a 2 hour nap on the plane ride

home his shirt was soaking wet. He

refused to stop freaking out until we

finally let him take off his shirt... we

must have looked like such white trash!

THe Big Dogs...

Man, our big dogs, Bentley and Koda, seriously drive me nuts when they are chillin' in our back

yard. Constantly pooping, digging, tearing things apart, and jumping on us. It seriously makes
me crazy!!! But, when we take them out to do things like swimming and hiking I am so glad that
we have them. It is so awesome to watch them dive into the water to fetch a toy, well at least

Koda is... Bentley is not to fond of the water. Pretty sure Rascal could out swim him any day.
Anyways, here are a few pics from the other day when we took them swimming at the dog park.

Mothers Day Breakfast!

The day before Mothers Day Kneaders always does free french toast for moms... and you all know how much I love free stuff. Ty had informed me that him and his medic partner Tuo were going to take the kids to make a mothers day gift so Jill and I took our little guys to breakfast with us! The boys were so cute and good and kept wanting to cuddle with us. It was so sweet! Thanks for joining us Jill and Ashton!

Easter Extravoganza 2011!

We had such a fun Easter weekend! Tyson had to work, but we still found ways to have fun and

include Daddy in our Easter festivities. Our weekend started out on Saturday with the
Herriman Easter hunt. This is our 3rd year going to this hunt and, as always, it didn't disappoint! The kids had a blast! They got lots of treats and played a ton!
Next we packed up some camping gear and headed south. We went with the Tho family to Jill's family party. Since our hubbies were at work Jill decided to bring us along and we had so much fun! The kids rode bikes, rode in the Rhino, and ran around like crazy! It was fun to just hang out and watch the guys blow stuff up...literally! They were blowing up "star targets" (a.k.a. bombs!) with high powered riffles and shooting off bowling balls with a cannon made for just that! It was seriously so much fun! Top that off with a delicious dutch oven dinner and an Easter egg hunt and you get one fantastic day! Thanks again Hardy/ Tho family for such an awesome time!

On Easter morning the kids woke up to some treats, toys, and a note from the Easter Bunny himself! Then we got ready and headed to the Fire Station were the Bunny left all of the kids loot! We ate a delicious breakfast and then the kids headed out to find a gazillion eggs (seriously, there were over 800 eggs for 11 kids!) and their baskets. The kids made a haul and had a ton of fun playing with their fire station family. I didn't take to many pics there because I was to busy chasing around kids, but I think the Easter Bunny is trying to one up Santa Clause because the kids got a TON for Easter! ( To much cute stuff, I couldn't resist!)

At lunch time we headed to my parents house for more fun Easter gifts and a yummy lunch. And last but not least we went to G & G McQuistons house for more food and family fun!

All in all Easter weekend was a ton of fun! Hopefully Tyson will be off next year so he can enjoy more of it with us! (Although we did enjoy the Fire Station holiday!)

Camden had his last soccer game today and he was so sad. He had a rough start, but turned out to be quite the little soccer player and ended up loving it! We will have to sign him up to play again since he had so much fun! Maybe outdoor next time!

Fireman Day 2011

This past Thursday was Fireman Day at Camdens preschool. Ty was the main event, and like last year, he did a fantastic job! He was even able to bring a fire engine to the school again this year which is always they highlight of the day!

Classic skating... wow, do you remember this place? Getting dropped of by your parents strapping on your skates and hoping a boy picks you during the "snowball" skate (even though we all claimed that it was lame and we really didn't want a boy to ask us!)! Good old Jr High memories! We took the kids to Classic for playgroup and they had a blast! My boys especially liked riding their bike and scooter around the track. So fun! Can't wait to go again!

REAL SALT LAKE!!!

We had tickets to last nights Real Salt Lake game thanks to our SLC Pass of all Passes. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly suprised! Other than the expensive parking (most lots were $10 a spot... we found one for $5 and didn't have to walk any further than the other lots) it was a lot of fun! We had awesome seats too, 7th row behind the east goal, we could see everything! Cam thought it was so cool to watch the big guys do what "he does" on such a big field. He was so funny to listen to as he cheered for the players. He would randomly see a number on one of their jerseys and start yelling for them! It was so cute!

The crowd was so funny to watch... and people watch we did! I seriously felt like I was back in high school at a play off football or basketball game. Flags, yelling, guys with no shirt on when I was freezing in my coat, confeiti, band, smoke machines, and, of course, yelling "ohhhh... You Suck!" everytime the other teams goaly kicked the ball. Seriously such a funny flash back!

On Saturday the Sorensons invited up to go sledding with them. We had a blast! It was seriously the best sledding hill for the kids! My boys are getting so adventurous and quite

frankly it scares me to death! Between Cam being amazing on his little snowboard and wanting
to go off the jumps and Gav wanting to try snowboarding and only wanting to go down the hill

by himself, on his stomach, and head first we have our hands full!!! I am so mad though because
I didn't get my camera out until the end and I couldn't get Cam to snowboard anymore. He was so awesome at it! He could go all the way down the hill all by himself without falling! It was crazy! Guess we'll have to go again!

Safe Kids Fair!

We made our annual trip to the Safe Kids Fair on Friday. It's not the most exciting event, but

hey, it's free! So, we for sure can't complain! I actually had decided that it was really uneventful this year and that we probably wouldn't be going next year until I saw my pictures.
The kids actually look like they had a blast! Kids are so easy to please!

We went with our awesome playgroup this year... well sort of! Ty came with us and if you know
him you know the man can't stand still for more than 2 seconds, so I was constantly chasing him
and the boys around and didn't get much play group time : ( Don't worry though... I will see

them all a bunch next week! Yeah for girls night and new babies!

wondered why it wouldn't fly!

Monster Jam!

Last night we took our boys to Monster Jam. The boys had a blast and it was so much fun to watch their faces! Cam and Gav kept their ear plugs in the first half of the show, but opted for no plugs the second half and seemed to enjoy it more that way. So crazy! It was super loud and they were totally cool with it!

Gavins face was priceless the entire time. Either he was watching intently with no expression on his face or he was looking up at me in awe making sure I was watching! We didn't get to watch Camdens reactions to much because he was to busy sitting a few seats down with his buddy Caleb. They were pretty cute cheering with their arms up in the air and dancing everytime music came on!

Starting Soccer

Camden had his soccer orientation and first practice yesterday. He was so excited to go and had been practicing for weeks in the basement getting ready for his big soccer debut. He got his jersey and headed out to practice with his coach. He did such a good job and was doing a really good job controlling the ball. Half way through practice his team and the other team that was there practicing decided to do a practice game and it was all down hill from there!
Cam got to do the first kick off and did a really good job, but then he stood against the wall with his arms folded and started to cry! He refused to play the rest of the game, despite all of the talks and bribes from both ourselves and his coach. It was interesting to say the least.
Hopefully he will warm up to the idea of actually playing in the game next time! On a side note... he looked so stinkin' cute in his soccer get up!

Valentines Day takes on a whole different meaning when you have cuties like these! They were so excited to wake up to treats waiting for them. I got crafty this year and made them each a crayon roll and a super hero cape. Top that off with suckers, new crayons, and new coloring books and I had 2 happy boy!
Mommy got spoiled with beautiful roses and a yummy lunch at Kneaders with my 3 favorite Valentines!

As usually, Gav found a sucker and didn't care
much about anything else! Easy to please!

Thursday it was Camdens turn to be the spotlight at preschool. This just gives the other kids in class the opportunity to learn a little bit more about him. He was so cute and so excited that Gavin and I got to come to his school. He even held Gavins hand, brought him to the front of the class, kissed him on the cheek, and introduced him to the class... so CUTE!!!
Here are the answers to the questions that he had to answer on the poster:
-favorite color- Red
-favorite animal- Tiger
-favorite food- cereal
-Favorite thing to do- camping and four wheeling
-Favorite place- Disneyland
-Wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.
-If he could have anything it would be his very own monster truck.

I was surprised because his answers hadn't changed much since last year. The only one that was a different answer was the last one. I guess this kid really knows what he likes and wants!

Braylee and Kason came over to play a couple weeks ago. Cam and Bray never sat still long enough for me to snag a pic, but these 2 cuties did! If you can't tell from the pictures, Gav loves Kason. He followed him around and did whatever Kason wanted to do the whole time he was here (Gav is kind of a follower. He does the same thing when Parker comes over!). That included watching the pretty girls on the Miss America Pageant and dancing to all of the music!
They were so cute!
I am so glad that Cam and Gav have Bray, Kason, and Parker around to play with. They are all so cute together and truly love eachother! I am so excited to meet my new niece and nephew who will be joining our family very soon! Yeah for cousins!

First Snowman!

When it snowed last week we decided to take the boys out front and make their very first snowman. Usually when it snows Ty is at work and, if you know me, you know that I seriously hate the snow! So, with some convincing, Ty talked me into coming out and playing in the snow with them. I sure am glad I did! The boys were so cute and we made the biggest snowman I have ever seen! We even had to get out the ladder to shape the head!

Don't worry though, I still dislike winter and snow, but watching how excited my boys get makes it bearable!

I am sure many of you have heard me speak of the large pile of metal and fiber glass that is taking up far to much space in our garage. Now don't get me wrong, I am very excited to see the day when this thing is up and running and we can take it out for a spin, but looking at it in its current state is not reassuring!

Playgroup Christmas Party!

For our playgroup Christmas party we decided to head to one of our groups favorite places to

play, Incredible Pizza! We had a blast as usual and the kids got to give eachother their cute
little gifts! We were there for over 3 hours running around like crazy and when I looked around
I realized that we were the only ones from our group still there! I couldn't drag my kids out of

there, they were having to much fun!

We sure are thankful for our playgroup and the lasting friendships we have made with each and everyone in it! We LOVE you guys and can't wait til playgroup starts back up in January!

Seeing Santa!

We already took our kiddos to see Santa about a week ago at Thanksgiving Pointe, but I figured since we were at the mall the kids could go talk to him again. Cam was thrilled because he had changed his mind about what he wants for Christmas and wanted to let Santa know!
Last time Gavin sat on Santas lap and told him that he was nice and wanted cars and books, this time... not so much! This time he told me Santa was scary! Since I had already got a pic of the boys with Santa I didn't push the matter!

Preschool Christmas Program

Camden had his preschool Christmas program today and he did an awesome job! This kid loves

to sing and he was definitely the loudest one in the class! (but not in an obnoxious way!) He did such a good job and remembered all of the words and actions to each song. We are so proud of him, he is such a smarty and loves preschool! Both of his Grandparents and Uncle Bubba were able to come and watch and he was so excited to show them what he had learned!

Advent Calendar!

I had been looking for an advent calendar this year that I could put my own treats in. I found a few, but every time I went to buy one at the store they were so beat up and broken. I then decided that maybe if I ordered it online it would be in a lot better shape. But, wait a minute, if they look that bad just sitting in the store... what is it going to look like after my boys get there hand on it? Well, after doing a bit of research I decided to make my own. I am not a very creative person, but here is how it turned out! My boys love it and I am actually pretty proud of it myself! I can't take all the credit though... I stole the idea off of jamiecooksitup.blogspot.com . This website is one of my favorite recipe sites... you should definitely check it out sometime!

So, the calendar is actually a 24ct mini cupcake

pan and individually decorated squares with

flat magnet sheets glued to the back. Very

easy to make!

I put small treats and mini ornaments in each

cup that the boys open each morning! They get

so excited to peel off the magnet each day and

see whats inside!

Jungle Jims Birthday Party!

For Camdens friend Rileys Birthday party we got to go to Jungle Jims. I seriously had not been

there in forever. That place has been there forever though... I remember going there for my
brothers birthday like 20 years ago! The kids had so much fun! The rides were just the right

size for them and after all of that playing they were exhausted! After all that fun we ate yummy
pizza and ate a delicious cake. Then of course the birthday boy got to open all of his awesome
gifts! My kids are already asking to go back again!

Road Construction...

To say that Gavin is obsessed with tractors would be an understatement! He seriously LOVES them! So, when they were doing road construction in front of our house a couple weeks ago Gav took full advantage! It was so cute! He sat in his window seat for about 2 to 3 hours a day just watching them work. He even ate breakfast and lunch there one of the days because he didn't want to miss any of the action! Man I love this kid!

Park City Trick or Treating and Dog Parade!

Since Ty worked on the real Halloween, My parents and I decided to head up to Park City for a little more Trick or Treating and people watching of course! It was seriously crazy! I have never seen so many people, and dogs for that matter, dressed up in my whole life! I decided I am a bad mom though... their were so many parents dressed up having a blast with their kids and I was just wearing my regular clothes. I may have to fix that next year! The kids had fun and so did all of us!

Gav was a bit mad because he had to sit in

the stroller. He was way to heavy to carry the

whole time and if he walked he would have been

trampled!

This year we decided at the last minute to just stay home and have little party of our own! My

parents, Brannon, Ry, Jess, and Parker decided to join us for the festivities. We ate pizza, bread
sticks, salad, apples with Carmel dip, and dirt cake for desert...YUM! After that the kiddos were

ready to go get some candy... only 1 problem... it was POURING outside! That of course doesn't
stop trick-or-treating. The kids just put on some rain jackets and were ready to go! The guys took the kids out trick-or-treating and the gals stayed nice and warm inside to pass out candy. We had a great night!

On Saturday Tyson went hunting so the boys and I decided to head to the library for a Halloween Sing-a-long. The music was so cute and they really got the kids involved. It was the perfect activity to get the kids ready and excited for Halloween!

We had so much fun at our playgroup Halloween party... then again, we always have a good time

when playgroups involved! The kids decorated pumpkins, trick or treated and ran around like
crazy! We ate yummy homemade chili that Shamie made with all the fixins and finished it off with pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! Oh, and I got to hold my newest boyfriend, baby Collin! We always look forward to anything involving playgroup!

Preschool Parade!

This Years Pumpkins!

This year I decided not to carve pumpkins. Not because they don't look awesome...because they do, but the kids can't really help us do it, nor do they care too. I figured that painting them would be a lot more fun for the kids and a lot less work for us!

Pumpkin Patch with Preschool!

For preschool the other day Camden got to go on a field trip to the local pumpkin patch and

Gav and I got to tag along! The kids got their pics taken, read a book, did a scavenger hunt,
and went on a tractor pulled hay ride. The kids all had a blast! We Love Preschool!

I had bought some certificates to go to Incredible Pizza Co. with the hopes of going there for Gavins birthday. Because of schedule conflicts and not wanting to go on a busy Saturday this was the soonest we could go. Oh well! He only turned 2 he doesn't know the difference right?! Anyways... we had a blast! The kids ran from game to game and loved every minute of it! Can't wait to go again!

Color Me Mine!

Today Camden and I went on a "date" with our playgroup. Camden liked calling it a date because it was just me and him. No Gavin this time. We had planned on going to Color Me Mine for play group this week and I figured that a 2 year old in a ceramic painting place was not a good idea, so he went to Grandma Joans.
Camden picked out a spider to paint and he did a really good job! He was so cute to watch paint. He was being such a perfectionist and new exactly how he wanted it to look! Then we picked up McDonald's and headed to the park to eat and play at the playground. We had so much fun... I love when I get to spend 1 on 1 time with each of my boys!

The other morning while I was making cookies I assumed that my boys were quietly playing nicely in there rooms... boy was I wrong, well at least about Gavin that is! I found him in my bathroom. He had painted his feet with mascara, concealer, and bronzer. I walked in and asked "Gav what are you doing?" and he replied " Look mama, I pretty!". How can you get mad at them when they are so proud of themselves?

A New Wheeler Farm Experience!

We went to Wheeler Farm with our playgroup, but this time was totally different... in a good way of coarse! This time there was no bird feeding, checking out the animals(to much at least!), fighting the kids to get out of the playhouse, or sack lunches at the park. Not that we don't enjoy all of that, but it was a ton of fun doing something different at the farm. This time was all about Halloween! We did a hay ride, a corn/hay maze, and picked out pumpkins. Top that all off with getting a prize, a treat, and hanging out with some fun friends and you get our new Wheeler Farm experience! We had so much fun at the farm and ended our play date with Greek Slouvaki which was way good! We {heart} our playgroup! Just wish I took more pics!

Fall Family Day!

On Sunday we decided to have a family day up American Fork Canyon. The Alpine Loop is one of my favorite places to go in the fall to see the leaves. We decided to stop at Cascade Springs to take the kids and the dogs on a walk. The springs are so beautiful and the leaves made it even better!

On the way down we stopped at Tibble

Fork Reservoir. We wanted to play fetch

with the dogs and let them swim in the

water, but there were tons of people fishing

and we didn't want to cause problems. So Ty

and I took off our shoes and carried the kids

across the freezing cold water around the

muddy banks to get to an area were we

wouldn't be in anyones way. It was kind of

a pain, but it turned out to be tons of fun!

For a family date we took the kids bowling with our friends the Tho's. We have so much fun with these guys and our kids play so well together which is a definite plus! Here are a few pics!

The Witches Are Out!

For playgroup we decided to hit up the Gardner Village witches this year. It is an absolute favorite of mine and I think the kiddos have a great time too. We took lunches and ate in the Village and let the kids run around and then we went on a scavenger hunt to find all of the witches. You can print off a "witch hunt" on their web site and if you find all of the witches they describe and write down where you find them you can trade in your paper and 25 cents for a chocolate chip cookie. The kids didn't really understand the hunt so much, but they sure did love the cookies!
I am sure we will go see the witches again before Halloween is over, but none of our other visits compare to experiencing the witches with our fabulous play group! We {heart} our play group!

My Grandma sent these 2 cute pics to me of my boys from one of our camping trips.

Camden and Gavins Buccaneer Bash!

This year we decided to do a combined party for Cam and Gavs birthday since they are 2 weeks
and 1 day apart. We continued with the pirate theme which was so much fun. We had all of our

family over for gifts, cake, ice cream, sugar cookies, and homemade rootbeer. It was so much
fun to watch our kiddos faces light up knowing that everyone was here just for them. Oh, and
all of the gifts didn't hurt either. They had so much fun and didn't mind one bit that they had to

share the special day with eachother. I LOVE my sweet boys!

Dew Tour Madness!

For one of Cams birthday gifts we got him Dew Tour tickets. Of course he had no idea what that was, but after I showed him a few clips of past Dew Tours that's all he could talk about. We got

to walk around festival village, watch the BMX vert and BMX dirt runs, saw a bit of skateboarding, and then on to our favorite... FMX!

Buccaneer Bash!

This year for Camdens birthday he chose a Pirate theme and to say I went a bit overboard is probably an understatement, but how couldn't I when he was so excited? We all got dressed up

and let the party begin!

When the kiddos got there they started off with making treasure hunts in a bottle.

Then they took a pirate oath to earn their pirate hats

Then we ate hot dogs, chips, watermelon, grapes,

cannon balls on a sword (olives), and homemade
rootbeer... Yum! And Cam got to open a bunch

of awesome gifts!

Gav didn't like his pirate shirt, but he loved
the hotdogs!

After gifts we gave the kids each a treasure map
and compass for the treasure hunt through the
back yard. Cam really wanted to DIG for buried

treasure and thats exactly what he got to do!

was filled with tons of loot, but no candy...
in comes the pinata!

Cam got to celebrate his birthday at preschool and he was so excited! He got a hat, had happy Birthday sang to him, blew out the "candles", led song and dance time, and handed out treats! It was so cute to go watch. Happy Birthday my big boy!

Huge Loss...

On September 11th the world lost an amazing man. Our friend Bruce McGowan was killed in a car accident up Parleys Canyon on his way home from work. Tyson was hired on with him in 2004 and formed a lifelong friendship with him instantly. He was a smart and hillarious man that will greatly be missed. God bless his family, friends, and fire community. RIP Bruce...

take them here. This time we had Tys parents,

Pine Cone Project!

We did a really fun project the other day that Camden really enjoyed so I figured I would share
it with all of you! The kids were collecting pine cones on our last camping trip so I decided to do

something with them. We made a bunch of cute bird feeders and took them around do some friends and family... hope you enjoyed them! Here are instructions for anyone who might need a crafty idea to do with your kiddos!

A Day At The Beach!

We decide to venture out for a day of swimming at the Herriman beach with our neighbors, Amy and John. I was so disappointed when I found out you couldn't swim at the Daybreak beach, but not anymore! This beach is way bigger, which makes it a lot less crowded and a lot more relaxing! We had so much fun and can't wait to go again!

For my Moms birthday my brother and I bought her tickets to see the Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum concert and Tyson and I decided to tag along! We went to dinner at Iggy's and then headed out To Usana to enjoy the show! We had a blast! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us crash your party and thanks Heather and Deon for watching the kiddos so we could enjoy the night!

A couple weeks ago we went to Kennecott Copper Mine with our playgroup. It was free that week and you could totally tell! It was sooo... busy, but the kids had a ton of fun! Jess and Parker even tagged along and Gavin was so excited to play with Parker!

Camping Trip #3

We went on a 5 day camping trip up Manti Canyon the week after the 4th. My parent and brother, my Grandma and Grandpa, and Ry, Jess, and Parker joined us and we had tons of fun!

3rd of July Fun!

Ty had to work on the 3rd so we decided to join my parents and Brannon up at the Canyons for the concert and fireworks! If you've never been to the Canyons free Saturday night concerts in the summer you really should go! It's become one of our favorite things to do on Saturday nights in the summer when we're not camping. We had a blast as usual! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us tag along!
Ry, Jess, and Parker also met us up there and I am glad they joined us! Gav loves playing with Parker and I am pretty sure Uncle Ryan is one of Cams favorite people in the whole world!

4th of July Parade!

This was our second year going to the Murray 4th of July parade. This is a new tradition that

Tauni started and I am so glad she did because is is so much fun! I am also glad that she is
sweet enough to go out the night before and claim our spot so we have a place to sit! Thanks Tauni! Ty had to work, but the kids and I still went and loved it!

We always enjoy the local Herriman Days festivities... they never disappoint! We went to the parade with a few of our neighbors and also went to the carnival to let the kiddos ride the rides and watch fireworks! We had a ton of fun and can't wait to do it again next year!

No... I am not PREGNANT! I am, however, taking care of a new baby. Somehow I was talked into a new chocolate lab puppy by my husband and boys! Don't they already have a chocolate lab you ask... Yes we do! But now he has a friend! And now I am not the only girl in the house! Meet our 8 week old puppy Koda Jo Bear! She is so sweet and sleeps most of the time, but I know that will pass! I am a bit freaked out about cleaning up all that poop, but Ty has promised me that it is something I won't have to do to often! Hopefully he stays true to his promise! Thanks Jake and Samantha! We love her!

Family Getaway

Tysons parents treated us all to a quick trip down to Manti this week to see the Manti Pageant. We had a fantastic time. We went to dinner, went to the pageant, and then slept over night in Gunnison. The next morning we got up, went to breakfast, and then it was off to Seven Peaks. The kids all had a BLAST! It was super hot so the water was a great place to be!

Our Crazy Busy Fun Weekend!

We had a really fun Fathers Day weekend! Ty had Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off which is

almost unheard of so we took full advantage. We went swimming at the Kearns outdoor pool on
Friday which was a ton of fun, but of coarse I forgot my camera! Saturday we went down to the Farmers Market at Pioneer park with my parents. This is usually a favorite of ours, but I think to many other people feel the same way and now it is just crazy busy! Then my Dad and Ty headed home to do their own thing while me and my Mom took the boys to the Gateway. The Chalk Art Festival was going on which was tons of fun! Some of the art work was amazing! I wish I would have taken pics of some of the art work but I was to busy chasing around my kids! They also had free hair and face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, and Popsicles that we took full advantage of! We had a ton of fun and are glad my Mom could come hang out with us!

Sunday Tyson said he just wanted to relax and that's exactly what we did! We went to lunch and just hung out and then went to my parents for a BBQ. It was a great day!

To start the week off we went to Murry Park to watch Ty do swift water training and play at the park. Its always fun to watch Daddy jump in the river! And today we went to Thanksgiving Point to play in the water with Randi, Garrett, and Embrie which is always a good time!

See what I mean by BUSY?! I LOVE SUMMER! Always something to do!

The rest of the week is jam packed and I am sure I will have lots of pics to post about the Manti Pageant, Seven Peaks, and Herriman Day! Hopefully I can get a nap or time to lay out in there somewhere!

My Green Thumb!

I decided to grow a garden from seed this year and it has turned out very well. I have a large garden area, so I was really excited to see how it would turn out... so far so good! I planted 2 rows of carrots, 1 row of broccoli, 1 row of cauliflower, 1 row of onions, 1 row of lettuce, 1 row of radishes, 1 row of red potatoes, and 1 row of Yukon gold potatoes. Add that to my rhubarb, raspberries and strawberries and you would think that would be enough right? Wrong! I also have another garden area the same size as this one on the other side of my yard that has cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, pumpkins, 4 green pepper plants, jalapenos, and cilantro... I think I may have gone a bit over board! Oh well, we will be eating healthy and my kids have enjoyed watching everything grow!

Splash Pad MaNiA!!!

We took advantage of the fabulous weather this week and went to as many splash pads as we could. The week started out with a trip up to the Gateway on Sunday to play in the water. There is just something about going to the Gateway that I can't get enough of... I love going there, I just wish Ty felt the same way! I forgot my camera, but it was pretty interesting up there because the PRIDE parade had just gotten over and there were a lot of colorfully dressed people. It was pretty fun to watch!
Tuesday we went down to Thanksgiving Point to the Children's Discovery Gardens. If you haven't been there yet you really should go. They have a way cute water area there that my boys LOVE way more than any other splash pad. It has a Noah's Ark with animals in it that spray water that is surrounded by water that the kids can wade in. We took lunch there and spent 3 hours playing in the water and soaking up the sun. I love days like that and enjoyed every second with my sweet boys!
Last, we went to the splash pad by our house with our play group. Getting together with these guys is always a good time and good company! The kids had tons of fun both playing in the water and playing at the play ground. All in all we had an awesome time!

It was in the 80's all week and now as I write this it is in the 60's... Bummer! Can't wait til next week when things warm up and we can go enjoy some more summer fun!

Camping Trip #2

Over Memorial Day weekend we decided to head out camping somewhere new. After last years experience we said that we would never go camping over Memorial Day weekend again. Our past Memorial Day camping experiences have been full of a lot of mud, rain, and getting stuck which is not our idea of a good time! We decided to brave it anyways, but this time in the rain-free deserts of Cherry Creek.
I was a little optimistic about going here, seeing as how I HATE the Sand Dunes with a passion, but our neighbors, the Birches, convinced me that it is totally different. I am very glad that they did because we had a blast! We had a ton of fun and Camden and Gavin had so much fun playing with their friends! I wish I would have taken more pics, but we were having to much fun and I didn't think it would be too smart to leave my camera out to fill up with sand! I will have to post some of Cam riding his early birthday gift that Ty picked up for him... a 50cc four wheeler! He looked so dang cute driving it around!
Ryan, Jess, and Parker came out for the day and it was way fun to have them there! I hope that they will come camping with us another time when they can stay longer.
All in all it was a great trip. Other than almost every machine we brought down there having issues that is... If you are looking for Ty and he is not at work you will find him in the garage rebuilding dirt bikes.

What am I going to do with myself? I have gotten so used to My 5 hours a week to get my stuff done and have mommy/Gavin time and now it has come to an end!

Camden had his last day of preschool today. His teacher did a fun game day which Camden loved, but he was so sad when we had to leave. He kept saying that he was going to miss Miss Lindsey and Miss Casey and all of his friends.

It will be nice to have him home so we can hang out in the sun all day with no place to go, I just hope that I can help him remember all of the stuff that he learned this year though the summer! He is getting so big and so smart!

Wheeler Farm

I took Cam and Gav to Wheeler Farm for play group. We were a half an hour late so we walked through it by ourselves... better late than never right?! Cam loves to feed ducks and, well, Gav lives to chase, pet, and provoke them! I had to make sure the geese in front of Gav were well fed so that their beaks were occupied while he was around! Cam was so cute with his little brother. He held his hand and dragged him around to each of the animals so he could show him and tell him what noise they made. He actually go him to moo at the cows! so cute! We will definitely be back!

We went to AMA Supercross at Rice Eccles Stadium on May 1st for the first time and it was tons of fun! It poured rain the whole time, but we didn't mind because we were in an awesome sweet with some of our neighbors! Camden loved everything about the whole weekend and let me know that he wants to be a motocross racer and a firefighter when he grows up... that doesn't stress me out at all!

Fireman Day with Daddy!

Today was so much fun for Camden! It was Fireman Day at his preschool and his Daddy was the guest of honor! I think Ty was pretty excited too... he loves that Cam thinks his job is so
awesome!
Tyson not only went and taught an awesome class on fire safety with all the bells and whistles, he also made arrangements to take a fire engine to the preschool just for the kiddos to see. Cam thought that was so cool and I am pretty sure that he told everyone that he knew about it. He also got to be Daddys big helper throughout the whole lesson which he loved! I still think Cam's favorite things were a tie between riding to and from preschool in the fire engine and getting to show his Daddy off to his whole class... he was so proud! Seriously... what little boy wouldn't love it if his Dad was a fireman!
Tyson did such a great job... I was very impressed and proud of him! I am so glad my boys have
such a great Dad that is willing to do such fun things for them!

Easter Fun!

We had such a crazy Easter week this year! With 5 Easter egg hunts, 4 sickies with the flu, and Ty having to work on Easter our week was pretty nuts! Since we couldn't celebrate Easter as a family on Easter Sunday together we had to put in a special request for the Easter Bunny to come a day early. Apparently our request worked with the Bunny schedule because while Ty and the boys went out for hair cuts he stopped by with a bunch of goodies! They were so excited!

Camping Trip #1

We went on our very first camping trip of the year to the Sand Dunes with a whole bunch of our friends that Ty went to high school with and my parents. I hadn't been there in a

long time and we have never camped there before and now I see why! That place is horrible! I was windy, dirty, raining, cold, and it induced many anxiety attacks for me! I am so not as fearless as my boys! They wanted to be out running around all of the crazies on ATV's and they cried every time Ty went on rides without them. I only went out on 1 ride with my Dad in his
Razor and I hated every minute of it! I guess I am a wuss, but I am pretty sure I won't be riding there anytime soon!

We went to the zoo for the first time this year a few weeks ago. The boys had tons of fun running around, but I am pretty sure that they didn't care to much about the animals. It was like pulling teeth trying to get Camden to check out the tiger that was actually awake, walking around, and growling. I thought most boys would love that! Oh well! Good thing we got in free! Safe Kids Fare

We took the boys to the Safe Kids Fair and they absolutely loved it! They got free bike helmets, Camden got a free real golf club, hair cuts, met Batman and a princess and much, much more! We had so much fun and can't wait to go back next year!

Gavin is getting so big! He is almost 17 months old and he is such a sweetheart! He is such a mama's boy... until daddy gets home! He had been able to walk since the day after Christmas. He is turning into such a little man and I am so not ready for it! He is talking a lot more now and can say quite a few words. A lot of them are only understood by me, but they are words none the less! We love him to death! Here are a couple of pics I have taken the last couple days!
