Fall Family Day!

On Sunday we decided to have a family day up American Fork Canyon. The Alpine Loop is one of my favorite places to go in the fall to see the leaves. We decided to stop at Cascade Springs to take the kids and the dogs on a walk. The springs are so beautiful and the leaves made it even better!

Cam took this pic all by himself. I was pretty
impressed! The leaves are so pretty!

Cam held Gav's hand almost the entire time.
He love to play the big brother role and show Gav
new things... sometimes!

So cute! They loved the bridges!

Handsome Cam with the Springs in
the background.

One of Gavs favorite ways to travel!

On the way down we stopped at Tibble
Fork Reservoir. We wanted to play fetch
with the dogs and let them swim in the
water, but there were tons of people fishing
and we didn't want to cause problems. So Ty
and I took off our shoes and carried the kids
across the freezing cold water around the
muddy banks to get to an area were we
wouldn't be in anyones way. It was kind of
a pain, but it turned out to be tons of fun!
Next time we'll bring our poles!

Cam and Gav loved throwing sticks
in the lake!

Pretty sure the dogs thought they
were in heaven!

Beautiful view!

Koda LOVES the water! She can almost keep
up with Bentley.

Cam is killing me with the poses!

Gav kept backing away from us and
then running back to us over and
over again. He though it was hilarious!

Boys and their dogs!

I think we wore them out!

And yes... I know that Gav is no were
near big enough to ride in a booster
seat, but for some reason Ty can't be
bothered to move the other car seat
because it is " to much work". Seriously,
you just have to unbuckle and re-buckle
a seat belt, how hard is that?

Bowling Experience!

For a family date we took the kids bowling with our friends the Tho's. We have so much fun with these guys and our kids play so well together which is a definite plus! Here are a few pics!

Gav, Ashton, and Cam watching the ball

Cam was so cute to help Gav. He
would carry the ball over, put it on the
ramp, guide Gav to the ramp, and let
him push it all by himself. Then they
would jump up and down and cheer
together! So cute!

Cam watching his ball!

And one of the many celebration dances
after!

The Witches Are Out!

For playgroup we decided to hit up the Gardner Village witches this year. It is an absolute favorite of mine and I think the kiddos have a great time too. We took lunches and ate in the Village and let the kids run around and then we went on a scavenger hunt to find all of the witches. You can print off a "witch hunt" on their web site and if you find all of the witches they describe and write down where you find them you can trade in your paper and 25 cents for a chocolate chip cookie. The kids didn't really understand the hunt so much, but they sure did love the cookies!
I am sure we will go see the witches again before Halloween is over, but none of our other visits compare to experiencing the witches with our fabulous play group! We {heart} our play group!

Hanging out on the "hay ride" trailer. It wasn't
running, but for some reason this was one of the
kids favorite things to do this time!

I love this pic of Gav. Not much of a pic, but it
shows how excited he got to see the witches!

I love this handsome man! Always climbing!

Cam wanted to take a pic with the firefighter
witch for his daddy! I love the pose!

Always have to take a pic with the witch... Gav
was not thrilled about this one!

Camping Cuties!

My Grandma sent these 2 cute pics to me of my boys from one of our camping trips.

Gav loves it when Cam gives him a ride on his
four wheeler and Cam is such a sweet big brother
and always gives him a ride. He has also been
teaching his brother to ride it by himself too!
Pretty sure Gav is going to be my FMX rider
and Cam will stick with BMX...either way...Scary!

Camden and Gavins Buccaneer Bash!

This year we decided to do a combined party for Cam and Gavs birthday since they are 2 weeks
and 1 day apart. We continued with the pirate theme which was so much fun. We had all of our
family over for gifts, cake, ice cream, sugar cookies, and homemade rootbeer. It was so much
fun to watch our kiddos faces light up knowing that everyone was here just for them. Oh, and
all of the gifts didn't hurt either. They had so much fun and didn't mind one bit that they had to
share the special day with eachother. I LOVE my sweet boys!
Thanks a bunch to everyone that joined us on this special day! Happy Birthday Cam and Happy
Early Birthday Gav!

Blowing out the candles

Gavs face is priceless! So excited! It was so
cute to watch Cam get so excited to show Gav
the cake and what to do. I think he was more
excited for Gav than he was for himself!

The Decor

Such a handsome boy! He was so cooperative
for all of the pics and made sure to thank and
hug everyone after opening their gift. I am so
proud of my big boy!

Thats one happy kid!

Cam and his best friend/cousin Braylee!

Gav was so cute opening his gifts!

Getting some help from big brother! I
seriously love these 2!

Dew Tour Madness!

For one of Cams birthday gifts we got him Dew Tour tickets. Of course he had no idea what that was, but after I showed him a few clips of past Dew Tours that's all he could talk about. We got

to walk around festival village, watch the BMX vert and BMX dirt runs, saw a bit of skateboarding, and then on to our favorite... FMX!

Buccaneer Bash!

This year for Camdens birthday he chose a Pirate theme and to say I went a bit overboard is probably an understatement, but how couldn't I when he was so excited? We all got dressed up
and let the party begin!
When the kiddos got there they started off with making treasure hunts in a bottle.

Then they took a pirate oath to earn their pirate hats

Then we ate hot dogs, chips, watermelon, grapes,
cannon balls on a sword (olives), and homemade
rootbeer... Yum! And Cam got to open a bunch
of awesome gifts!

Gav didn't like his pirate shirt, but he loved
the hotdogs!

After gifts we gave the kids each a treasure map
and compass for the treasure hunt through the
back yard. Cam really wanted to DIG for buried
treasure and thats exactly what he got to do!

the kids dug up the treasure chest which
was filled with tons of loot, but no candy...
in comes the pinata!

Cam taking a swing. This pirate ship pinata looked
pretty delicate, but it proved me wrong. After each
kid got 4 turns we just let Cam beat the heck out of
it, otherwise we would have been there all day!

Gave taking a swing with Daddys help

then the kids dug into yummy cupcakes!

Happy Birthday to my 2 favorite Buccaneers!
